You are responsible for all activity occurring through use of your accounts.

Registration for Self-Service Password Reset (one-time set up)

You must register security questions before you can use the SAIC Self-Service Password Reset portal to change or reset your password. Registration instructions are included in the QRC and the video demonstration below.

Once you have registered for the Self-Service Password Reset portal, you may use it any time you forget your SAIC account password and need to reset it. However, should you need assistance, contact the SAIC Service Desk.

The password registration and reset portals are located outside the SAIC network, which is convenient for users who do not normally work at an SAIC facility. Both portals can be easily used with mobile devices including BlackBerrys, personal smart phones and/or tablet devices; however users with SAIC-managed workstations should continue to use the steps below to change their password.

Change Your Password (for users with SAIC-managed workstation)

To change your password on an SAIC-managed workstation:

  1. Press the keys Ctrl+Alt+Del.
  2. Select Change a password.
  3. Enter your Old Password, New Password, and Confirm Password.
  4. Click the arrow.
  5. Please wait while the system changes your password. You will receive confirmation that your password was successfully changed once completed.

Optional step for SAIC-managed computers: To synchronize your new password with your workstation and encryption you will need to connect to the SAIC VPN or an SAIC network connection and lock/unlock your system with your new password.

Synchronize Your New Password (for users with SAIC-managed workstation)

Synchronize your new password with McAfee Endpoint Encryption on your SAIC-managed workstation.

When changing your password via the SAIC Self-Service Password Registration Portal, be aware that the McAfee Endpoint Encryption for PC (EEPC) must also be updated to allow Single Sign-On (SSO) to function properly.

Resetting Single Sign-On

  1. Restart or reboot your Windows workstation.
  2. If "McAfee Endpoint Encryption for PC" is installed on your workstation, your machine should boot to the following screen.

  5. Enter your previous password that was used before it was last changed, then click the Logon button.
If the prior password is not known, please contact the SAIC Service Desk. They will need to verify your domain account is in good standing and reset your EEPC Token & SSO before performing an Administrative Recovery to temporarily bypass encryption in order to get you into Windows.
  6. Enter and confirm your new password.

  7. Click OK.
  8. The system will start up and then stop at the "SAIC Proprietary System" disclaimer screen. Click OK to continue.
  9. If the username and the new password you entered for the McAfee Endpoint Encryption logon now matches your Windows or Domain credentials, you will be automatically logged on to Windows.

If Single Sign-On still fails, Windows will re-prompt you to enter your credentials again.

NOTE: This behavior is normal for any workstations which are not connected to the SAIC network (directly or VPN) or the workstation is not joined to the SAIC domain.

NOTE: This is normal behavior for machines that are off network or unmanaged.
